Markham Thunder is offering SELECT volleyball program this season for athletes between 11-13 years old. It does not particiapte or is part of the Ontario Volleyball Association and tournaments. Teams participate in locally run tournaments only.

Markham Thunder Volleyball Club was created in 2014 and formed with the vision and goal to provide young athletes and parents in the Markham and surrounding area with care, respect, and providing sound and proper training to each and every athlete with caring, knowledgeable, and competence coaches. To train and focus athletes on overall fundamental and skills development to help athletes in preparation for school or future club team.
In broader goals in education and development, we focus on the development of the individual and not only on the development of technical skills and mental skills to ensure safety and allowing athletes to compete to the best of their ability. In addition through training and competition, athletes learn about the importance of key values such as:
- honesty,
- teamwork,
- fair play,
- respect for themselves and others, and
- adherence to rules.
